YODAT Day Service is looking for a Lead Coordinator
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Diversional Therapist or a person from an occupational therapy background to join our Central Wellington Day Service for younger people with dementia or mild cognitive impairment (MCI). YODAT is one of a few day services in NZ for younger people (typically aged 45 to 64) living with dementia or MCI.
Our service runs for 4 hours on Monday and Thursday, 10 until 2. We are currently seeking a person to lead the programme. You will contract to work as the Lead Coordinator of the Day Service with the support of the Assistant Coordinator and a team of volunteers. You will provide an activities programme based on Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) principles.
Or if you do not have the skill/experience to work as the Lead Coordinator we would welcome applicants to work as the Assistant Coordinator while gaining the experience to become the Lead Coordinator.
Phone the Team Leader, Yvonne Browning on 020 4157 9005 for more information.
