YODAT Patrons

Peter Chin at an Otago rally, in 2010

Peter Chin CNZM

YODAT is pleased to have Peter Chin as YODAT Patron. A lawyer by trade, Peter served two terms as Mayor of Dunedin (2004-2010) and he was appointed a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit (CNZM) for services to local body politics and community affairs.

His wife, Noleen, developed frontotemporal dementia in 2006 when she was in her 50s. Noleen passed in 2017. Peter and Noleen’s story was told in the verbatim play The Keys are in the Margarine.
